Why do we need Emergency lighting


Its statuary requirement that Emergency lightings be installed in all business premises.

There is a legal responsibility of that “All employers, landlords or occupiers under the Fire precaution(work place) regulation 1999 to carry out a risk assessment to ensure their premises can be evacuated quickly and safely in the event of an emergency”

Why do we need our Emergency Lightings tested?

The purpose of regular testing of your emergency lightings system is to ensure you continue to comply with regulations but more importantly-to you, the person charged with the responsibility, is to ensure that your emergency lights remain ON and functional during mains failure facilitating the safe evacuation of your building. EICR

An EICR (electrical installation condition report is the best professional and safe method of highlighting any electrical problems in home or business before they become hazardous.

An EICR is the official document produced after an inspection of a property, s electrical installation.
Whether the property is owned or leased/rented, obtaining Electrical installation condition report (EICR) is the legal requirement in UK.


Electrical inspector

Unsatisfactory EICR

If any defects are identified(C1,C2,C3,F1) during EICR test We will provide customer an explanation of the these defects along with advising of any different options available regarding the remedial work.

Noncompliance may lead to prosecution, with potential fines of up to £5,000 and/or violation under the health & safety at work Act 1974 can result in penalties of up to £ 20,000.
Notably the Crown possesses the authority to impose unlimited fine and sentences of up to 2 Years.
